Serge Gnabry who joined Arsenal in the year 2013 and went on loan to West Bromwich Albion finally ended his contract.

Werder Bremen who were on the chase with bigger clubs, made it known that they had no fear of losing the youngster Serge Gnabry to another team following his impressive start to life at the Weserstadion.

The 21-year old impressed Germany and the fans at the Rio Olympics and decided to leave Arsenal in favor of a return to his homeland ahead of the 2016-17 campaign after he could not make it into the regular first-team football at the Emirates Stadium.

The youngster has in no time become a main target at Werder Bremen and his good awesome performances have seemingly not gone unnoticed with a lot of reports suggesting that the German giants, Bayern Munich have first option to sign the winger.

However, Werder Bremen director Frank Baumann assuredly insisted that Gnabry would not go anywhere else any time soon as he will not want to be benched with his shining form.

“Serge deliberately made the decision to leave a top club where competition is at its peak for a club where he gets regular playing time,” Baumann told news outlet, Bild.

“And this is proving to be a good decision for him. I am amazed and a bit surprised by his consistency. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to adapt to your new surroundings, but it’s great how things are going with Serge.

“I am not an inch worried that bigger clubs are eying him here and there, I’m confident that he knows what Werder Bremen can do for him and that he can build something here and enjoy his time. I hope he will join us and stay with us for a long time.”
