Merseyside giants Liverpool might be without three of their players ahead of the upcoming Arsenal game in the Premier League this weekend. The Liverpool trio of James Milner, James Henderson and Andy Robertson are rated doubtful for the Arsenal clash, while young attacker Harvey Elliott has continued his rehabilitation from the serious ankle injury sustained during the away game against rivals Leeds United in September.
Young player Elliott was also seen working individually during the Liverpool training. The ex-Fulham trainee is on course to play for Liverpool again this season. It was first feared that petite attacker won’t play again this season after he was stretchered off due to a poor challenge from Leeds United defender PatrikStruijk.
Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson also worked away from the group just like what’s obtainable with the likes of Milner and Elliott. Henderson is a big doubt for the Arsenal game after picking up an adductor problem while on national team duty for England. The Liverpool midfielder started and finished the World Cup qualifier between England and visitors Albania. Henderson even managed to score, but he didn’t feature in the next qualifier against hosts San Marino after picking up an injury during the Albania game.
Left-back Andy Robertson could also miss the Arsenal game in the PremierLeague after he sustained a knock during the World Cup qualifier between his Scotland side and Denmark. He had to leave the game in the last eleven (11) minutes.
Senegalese international Sadio Mane also picked up an injury whole on national team duty, but it looks like he would be involved against Arsenal after he was seen in the company of the other Liverpool players in training. Mane had been struggling with a rib problem over the last few days.
